Sometimes I feel a little silly when every few months I say, I'm redoing my website. This is not through a lack of things to do believe me, but I have never been quite happy with my website.
Version 1 (August 2007) looked very pretty, but was tricky to update, lacked content and had a corporate feel to the way the text was written. I didn't feel that this was really connecting with customers in the way that I wanted.
Version 2 (March 2008)was an improvement. It centred round a smooth looking, minimalist idea and incorporated my online store. Other features included flash galleries and a third party contact form. However, whilst visually pleasing and having improved features, it was also tricky to update both the site and the galleries and still lacked content. The home page displayed a recent photo which often stayed the same for weeks on end due to the awkward process of updating it.
